Tokyo

The imperial palace

 of Tokyo is situated in a beautiful and large green area at the heart of the Japanese

Ueno Park 

was created in 1873 as Japan's first public park. At the southern entrance of the park is a 

statue of Saigo Takamori, who played an important role in the transition period between the Edo and 

Meiji periods of the 19th century. What is unique about Ueno Park is its high concentration of modern 

art and cultural facilities in the lush forest, rich in historic monuments and relics of the Edo and early 

Meiji times. Cherry blossom in spring is one of its prime landscapes

Asakusa Kannon Temple
